Kinston Teens receives 501(c)3 determination

Kinston Teens, Inc. is proud to announce that it is now a federally tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Kinston Teens retroactive to its incorporation on February 3, 2015 are fully tax-deductible.

“This is a major milestone for our organization,” said Founder & President Christopher Suggs. “It opens so many doors for us, especially in fundraising and maximizing our efforts to build Kinston’s youth into productive leaders and make positive impacts on our city.”

The focus of Kinston Teens for the coming year will be on growth and sustainability, and ensuring that programs beneficial to Kinston’s young people are promoted and supported. The organization also plans to create ongoing initiatives in the areas of leadership growth, public speaking, civic awareness, and youth development.

Kinston Teens, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization, founded by Christopher Suggs, comprised of teens and young adults in our community aging from 12-25 who want to make our city a better place to live! The mission of Kinston Teens is to serve and improve the Kinston community by promoting youth community service, leadership, and civic engagement; forming and strengthening relationships between our city’s youth and our local government, schools, and other established institutions; and providing young people with the educational tools and resources needed to succeed in their schools, communities and beyond!
