Operations Manager ($45,000-55,000 — Full-Time)
The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director with finance, human resources, and internal administration functions. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can efficiently manage various internal aspects of the organization. The Operations Manager will collaborate with external partners, such as our CPA firm and Professional Employer Organization (PEO), to ensure smooth operations. Digital Equity Coordinator ($47,000 — Full-Time, Grant-Funded/Temporary)
Kinston Teens is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Digital Equity Coordinator to lead the Digital Equity Corp initiative. This program is designed to bridge the digital divide in East Kinston and Lenoir County by equipping youth and marginalized community members with digital skills, access to internet-enabled devices, and the resources needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. The Digital Equity Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing program activities, managing youth participants, and building partnerships to ensure the initiative's success. Internship Opportunities
In additional to traditional employment opportunities, Kinston Teens offers internships to high school, college, and graduate students seeking short-term employment, professional experience or college credit. At Kinston Teens, we believe in fair and just compensation for all. That's why we only offer paid internships and align ourselves with programs that provide interns with a wage or stipend, valuing the skills, labor, and expertise of those we work with.
Communications Assistant (Up to $5,000 - for UNC-CH Students)
Kinston Teens is seeking a creative and motivated Communications Assistant to join our team for a full-time, up to 300 hours internship as part of the SECU Public Fellows Internship Program. This position will play a key role in documenting and promoting Kinston Teens’ programs and initiatives, particularly those focused on community development in East Kinston. The Communications Assistant will lead a community storytelling project, conducting interviews, capturing photos and videos, and creating a multimedia presentation showcasing the impact of our work. Additional responsibilities include developing newsletters, managing social media content, and supporting outreach efforts to elevate the visibility of Kinston Teens and the East Kinston Neighborhood Hub. Ideal candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in photography and editing, and a passion for community development. The internship offers flexibility in work hours, potential remote arrangements, and a chance to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications and community engagement.
