Press Release 10/15/14

PRESS RELEASE: Kinston, NC: Today, Chris Suggs announced the formation of “Kinston Teens” – a youth-led organization he created in hopes of bettering his community through engaging youth in civic and community service. The organization will consist of members aging 12-25 who hope to improve their area through social, political and physical awareness and changes.

Although the organization will be youth-led, there are opportunities for adults to serve as volunteers or on an “Advisory & Support” committee. Chris explains this by saying, “I want the youth to be the leaders of this organization, so in the future we can lead our community and the world. Though, I understand that there are some things that us kids just can’t do, and may need some extra help from the grownups.”

An informational and interest meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at the Neuse Regional Public Library in Kinston. Many local government, religious and community leaders are expected to attend, and the entire community – especially young people – is invited.
